I'm a graphic designer and illustrator in Medford, Oregon. I've been doing this for 40 years.

Most of that time has gone into packaging. The label, the carton, the bag somebody picks up off a shelf and decides about in about three seconds.

What I do

Packaging design. Labels, cartons, bags and whole product families. I deliver print-ready files and work directly with your printer.

Brand identity. Logos, and the rules that keep them consistent once they're out in the world.

Catalogs and print. Product catalogs, sell sheets and the rest of the paper a business needs.

Illustration. Drawn and digital, for packaging, print and the web.

Website content and updates. New pages, product information, images and copy for sites you already have. I work in modern static sites, and I build to current accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).

Pabst Blue Ribbon. Independent contractor, working directly with the VP of Marketing.

Breyers. Art director on the brand at a large agency. Seasonal ice cream packaging and packaging concepts.

Java Jacket. The logo for the original cardboard coffee cup sleeve, developed with a small agency.

Scott Laboratories. Product catalog, as a direct client.

Harry & David and PetSmart. In-house designer.

How I work

I work from my own studio in Medford, on my own equipment. Most clients never see the studio. They see proofs.

Defined projects get a fixed price, agreed before I start. Ongoing work is billed hourly with a cap.
